Vivo Y15s Specs:
The Y15s is a beautiful smartphone that stands out because of its design. Even with a 6.5” 720p display, you get to enjoy consuming multimedia on the large screen, and the user interface is much better. Similarly, its battery can last for a day with moderate use.

Display
Focusing on the display, Vivo Y15s comes with a big and bright 6.51 inches IPS LCD display panel. Look, dear reader, I cannot even get over the fact that it does not have more than a 60Hz refresh rate. Seriously, Vivo should do better by now. At this price point, completion it offering at least 90Hz refresh rate displays. But moving on, this panel does not disappoint when it comes to the resolution. We see a rather low 720 x 1600 pixels resolution with 270 PPI density. We’re thinking a compromise had to be made. And you will also notice the hole punch wherein the selfie camera lies. This panel has a dew-drop notch wherein the selfie camera hides.
Performance
Okay, the chipset Vivo Y15s comes with is a rather dated Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 (12nm) chip. MediaTek Helio P35 enables beautiful, all-screen smartphones with Full HD+ resolution displays and a 20:9 ratio. We honestly think that the 32GB with 3GB RAM that this phone has to offer may be a bit limiting. Especially 32GB, the RAM one can work with if you are not a heavy user. And the storage infrastructure is eMMC 5.1. Thankfully this internal storage can be expanded via a microSDXC card. There is a dedicated slot for this feature.
Still, under the hood is an Octa-core (4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU. The phone itself is powered by Android 11 (Go edition), Funtouch 11.1. This can be described as a pretty lightweight OS that is neat and almost bloatware-free. Almost! Actually, it is very quiet to the stock Android experience. But of course, it has a lot of customization options. Otherwise, it would just be pure Android 11. You can customize your charging animation, or even the face unlock animation. And note that it is Android 11 (Go edition).
Cameras
Vivo Y15s is an affordable smartphone with a dual-camera setup. It comes with a 113 MP, f/2.2, 27mm (wide), AF camera lens. This lens has an Auto-focus feature. Below it is its 2 MP, f/2.4, depth sensor. This is not all. The phone also has an okay 8 MP, f/2.0 selfie shooter capable of shooting 1080p@30fps videos just like the main 13MP lens. Now that is impressive. And in case you are wondering, a depth-sensing lens will come in handy when you want to blur the background of a portrait image. Some camera features present here include LED flash and panorama. The camera module looks neat on the back panel, to be honest.
Battery
Vivo Y15s comes with a large capacity non-removable Li-Po 5,000 mAh battery. This one features normal charging 10W. This massive battery capacity should last up to a whole day of usage and sometimes even two until the next charge is required. Buy it (phone not battery) today at Phoneplace Kenya. What we also know and find onboard here is reverse charging. Though it is only supported in 5W speed.
