Cameras
The cameras on Samsung Galaxy M32 are arguably the best it has to offer at this price point. 64 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/1.97″, 0.7µm, PDAF surely is worthy of praise. We see such a lens on the likes of Galaxy A52 which makes it a big deal for M32. Alongside it is an 8 MP, f/2.2, 123˚ (ultrawide), 1/4.0″, 1.12µm lens, a 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro) and a 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth). To be honest, a 4K video recording would have been great here. Unfortunately video recording quality is only up to 1080p@30fps on both the main and the 20 MP front-facing cameras. Get also to play around with features such as LED flash, panorama, and HDR.
Yes, Samsung Galaxy M32 has a 20 MP, f/2.2, (wide) selfie camera. It is the kind that produces attention-grabbing selfies because of its high-resolution photos. Selfies turn out good with nice colors. Why dynamic range and plenty of detail. Sharpness and dynamic range are both quite good making this a significant upgrade.
Platform & performance
In Kenya, Samsung Galaxy M32 is available in two variants concerning internal storage and memory. These thee are 64GB with 4GB RAM, and 128GB with 6GB RAM. These storages are of the eMMC 5.1 infrastructure. When you boot it up it will remind you that it is an Android-powered device. Android 11 for that matter with One UI 3.0. You read that right! Samsung’s latest One UI 3.1 over Android 11 has been included on Galaxy A22.
Some of the new features include a dark mode for your menus and a new set of gestures for navigation. Here, you swipe from the sides to go back rather than swiping from the bottom like before. But the old options are still there if you want. You also have edge panels here, which can be pretty handy swiping on the edge of the screen will bring you to a customizable space for shortcuts. At the heart of the Galaxy M32, is a Mediatek Helio G80 (12 nm) chipset.
The phone is also powered by a Mediatek Helio G80 (12 nm) chipset and an Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU. By the way, there is a dedicated slot for the SD card here in the event the internal storage limits you one way or the other. Finally, under the hood is a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. In a word, there really is very little of a difference in platform and performance between Galaxy A22 (released 2021, June 28) and this Galaxy M32 smartphone.
Battery
Once more we call on you to exercise your thoughts on what we will say next. Samsung Galaxy M32 comes with a massive 5,000 mAh battery. We best describe its performance as the power that keeps you going all day long. Seriously though, 5000mAh is a generous battery capacity is it not? We find it is. And should you start running low, plugin, and power up with 15W Fast Charging? A 2.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector (USB On-The-Go) is present here. You also get NFC and 5.0, A2DP, LE with Samsung Galaxy M32.
Brilliant display
So what do we have here? What do we see and what is it you should expect from the screen of the Samsung Galaxy M32? Well, in a few lines, immerse yourself in its large 6.4-inch Infinity-U Display panel. This one comes with an Infinity-U super vivid FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) Super AMOLED. The reason we refer to it as super vivid is because of that 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution packed on a 6.4-inch display panel. And that 411 PPI density supports our claim. It is also a great display because Infinity Display is a near-bezel-less, full-frontal glass, edge-to-edge screen. This phone has a fingerprint scanner under its display. It is an optical scanner I must add that works amazingly well. The screen-to-body ratio here is ~83.9%.
